Queste le toccanti frasi con cui i Kalush Orchestra ha esordito in sala conferenza stampa, immediatamente dopo il loro trionfo sul palco del Palaolimpico di Torino.

LA BAND: FORMAZIONE E SUCCESSI

 

I Kalush Orchestra sono un gruppo hip-hop ucraino, formatosi a Kaluš nel 2019. Il trio originario Kalush è composto dal rapper e frontman Oleh Psjuk, dal polistrumentista Ihor Didenčuk e dal ballerino MC KylymMen.

Successivamente, si aggiungono al gruppo Timofij Muzyčuk e Vitalij Dužyk, alla soplika ( flauto tradizionale ucraino ) e i coristi Džonni Divnyj e Oleksandr Slobodnjak

Dopo l’esordio nel 2019 con il singolo Ty honyš, firmano un contratto discografico con la Sony Entertainment e pubblicano il loro primo album in studio, Hotin. Grazie al successo del disco, i Kalush Orchestra raggiungono una grande popolarità in Ucraina.

È contenuto nell’album Hotin, il brano creato in collaborazione con la rapper Al’ona Al’ona, intitolato Hory, grazie al quale si aggiudicano il premio YUNA per il miglior pezzo hip-hop.

 

STEFANIA- IL RITMO DELLA SPERANZA

Dal coro toccante del ritornello al ritmo accattivante delle strofe, Stefania è un vero e proprio inno alla speranza. Originariamente scritto in onore della mamma di Oleh, il testo acquisisce oggi un significato ancor più profondo e incisivo.

Il dolce canto a una mamma che ama incondizionatamente e che grazie al suo amore, trasmette ai figli coraggio e forza di volontà per “trovare la strada di casa, anche quando tutte le strade saranno distrutte”.

Oleh Psjuk racconta il brano, con queste parole:

“Ho scritto questa canzone per mia madre, ma quando è scoppiata la guerra ha assunto un nuovo significato. La partecipazione all’Eurovision è la possibilità che ci viene data di rappresentare la nostra cultura a livello internazionale, e mostrare quanto sia incrollabile lo spirito ucraino e il coraggio anche su un palco musicale. Noi ora siamo come un altro megafono dell’Ucraina, e rappresentare il Paese in questo momento è una grande responsabilità”.
