Legge anti aborto nello stato del Texas per cui è consentito fare causa a tutti coloro che praticano l’aborto. Ancora una volta gli uomini dettano legge sulle donne. Billie Eilish si esprime al riguardo. 

«Sono stufa, i tanti uomini che non dicono nulla per difendere i diritti delle donne mi fanno venire il voltastomaco» Queste sono le parole che la cantante rivolte in seguito alla notizia della legge anti aborto in Texas.

Mercoledì scorso l’aborto è diventato sostanzialmente illegale in Texas. Il Senate Bill 8 consente a qualunque cittadino di fare causa a chi pratica o aiuta a praticare un aborto dopo appena sei settimane di gestazione. È previsto un sostanzioso incentivo economico per chi denuncia: 10 mila dollari in caso di causa vinta.

Aberrante, una legge che impone a delle donne un obbligo che diventa una mancata scelta. Un diritto di poter scegliere sul proprio corpo non c’è più e tante donne, anche nel mondo della musica fanno sentire la loro voce. Tra questi  la texana St. Vincent, Pink, Maggie Rogers, ma anche uomini come Jack Antonoff, Yungblud, Billy Bragg.

Ad aggiungersi anche  Billie Eilish che ha detto la sua in una serie di storie di Instagram. La cantante ha ripostato due slogan abortisti: «Sei contro l’aborto? Fatti una vasectomia» e «Gli uomini non dovrebbero legiferare sui corpi delle donne».

In un’altra storia Eilish scrive che «vorrei che agli uomini importasse di più, sono stufa, i tanti uomini che non dicono nulla per difendere i diritti delle donne mi fanno venire il voltastomaco».

La libertà di pensiero ci porta a considerare l’aborto come un pensiero giusto o sbagliato, ma se da una parte ci sono persone che si oppongono non solo al concetto ma anche alla pratica, dall’altra ci sono persone che la pensano in modo diverso. Le donne dovrebbero essere libere di poter scegliere. Sempre.
