Giornata mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne. Oggi, la violenza contro le donne dovrebbe essere considerata un reato. Il 25 novembre si celebra la giornata mondiale contro gli abusi, un modo per non dimenticare.

Giornata mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne: questo genere di violenza  che caratterizza la nostra società, come le altre, ormai da troppo tempo, così come da troppo tempo si è dato per scontato il loro valore. Probabilmente è più facile trattarle come oggetti o forse questo, è il risultato di una mente prepotente.

Onuitalia a tal proposito ribadisce:

“La Giornata internazionale per l’eliminazione della violenza contro le donne è stata istituita partendo dall’assunto che la violenza contro le donne sia una violazione dei diritti umani. Tale violazione è una conseguenza della discriminazione contro le donne, dal punto di vista legale e pratico, e delle persistenti disuguaglianze tra uomo e donna”.

Molto spesso si sente parlare di donne maltrattare, picchiate, vittime di body shaming, stuprate. Troppo spesso. La frequenza con cui questo accade è disarmane, ma non bisogna arrivare a pensare a questi eventi come normali perché normali non sono. Sono aberranti, atroci, ingiusti e illegali; sono gesti che buttano a terra la dignità e la vita delle donne.

Dentro le mura di casa.

Spesso ci si chiede dove ciò avventa. La risposta è: dentro le mura di casa. Non serve andar fuori per incorrere nel pericolo, per una donna è facile che si trovi dentro casa. il primo luogo dove sentirsi al sicuro non lo è più e diventa quel posto dove si sopravvive. Altre volte invece no. Altre volte il pericolo è proprio in strada e offerto da persone che non si conoscono, ma che sono pronte a far del male. Solo in Italia, i dati della Criminalpol indicano che tra marzo e maggio 2020, in piena pandemia e in lockdown, c’è stata una netta riduzione complessiva dei reati commessi (del 61%), ma si è registrato un allarmante, e costante, incremento di atti persecutori, maltrattamenti e di violenza sessuale. Il reato con l’aumento più significativo è stato proprio quello legato ai maltrattamenti contro familiari e conviventi. In famiglia, i femminicidi consumati all’interno della coppia salgono al 69,1%: lo scorso anno erano il 65,8%.

“Se non ti vestivi così magari non ti succedeva niente”

Quante volte si è sentita questa frase? Probabilmente una frase aberrante che da addito agli uomini di comportarsi così perché provocati dall’abbigliamento di una donna. Ma sul serio? Davvero stiamo parlando di uomini che nel momento in cui vedono una donna non riescono a comportarsi secondo quanto richiesto dalle norme e dal codice morale e civile? Sul serio c’è la necessità di sfogare tutti i propri istinti? Stiamo realmente dando la colpa alle donne?

Alcuni versi di Mary Simmerling.

Nella giornata dal 25 dicembre l’attrice Paola Cortellesi ha letto alcuni versi di Mary Simmerling alla camera dei deputati. Questi recitano:

“Era questo: a partire dall’alto una maglietta bianca di cotone a manica corta e girocollo. Questa era infilata in una gonna di jeans (anche quella di cotone) che finiva appena sopra le ginocchia con una cintura in vita […] Questo è ciò che indossavo quel giorno, quella notte, il quattro luglio del 1987. Potreste chiedervi perché è importante o perché io mi ricordi ogni capo di abbigliamento con questa precisione. Vedete, mi hanno fatto questa domanda molte volte. L’ho ricordata molte volte, ma la risposta così attesa sembrava vuota e mi chiedo quale risposta, quali dettagli darebbero conforto a voi, miei inquirenti che cercate conforto dove non può essere dato. Se solo fosse così semplice, se solo potessimo mettere fine allo stupro semplicemente cambiandoci d’abito. Ricordo anche che cosa lui stesse indossando quella notte anche se, è vero, nessuno me lo ha mai chiesto!”

Certo è che i vestiti non contano davvero niente. Ci si focalizza sull’aspetto sbagliato e invece di pensare alle cattive intenzioni e alla smania di possesso e prevaricazione ci si concentra sui vestiti. Sicuramente è la strada più semplice, ma non è detto che ciò che sia semplice sia anche corretto.

Un aspetto del reale.

Un aspetto del reale che regala un gusto amaro. Un sapore che nasce dalle azioni più piccole e da quelle meno percepibili, come le azioni di bodyshaming, il disprezzo del corpo femminile, una forma di bullismo gratuito che, anche se non si vede fa male. 

“Tanti sono i passi che ci hanno portato ad oggi. Un’emancipazione delle idee e dei pensieri che sono figli di lotte, proteste e persone che non si sono tirate indietro. Non avendo la percezione di tutto il sacrificio che c’è stato, molto spesso si tendono a dare per scontate molte cose. Questo può portare, alla lunga, a vedere i diritti naturali di un uomo nero violati, o quelli di una donna completamente non rispettati. Siamo tornati al punto di partenza? Forse si!“

Il 25 novembre è la giornata mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne. Questo serve a ricordare alle persone cosa è giusto e cosa è sbagliato, che le donne non sono oggetto di possesso di nessuno e che, il loro aspetto non è un’istigazione a determinati comportamenti. Sono solo scuse!
