Il 12 novembre è uscito il nuovo singolo di Billie Eilish: “Therefore I Am”
Billie Eilish o meglio Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell è la rivelazione del 2019, un vero talento diventato mediatico. “Un talento finalmente riconosciuto” potremo dire.
Nata a Los Angeles in una famiglia di attori dove ha coltivato le sue passioni, doti artistiche e canore. A 8 anni è entrata nel Los Angeles Children’s Chours e intorno agli 11 ha cominciato a scrivere le sue prime canzoni.
Una carriera coltivata sin dalla tenera età e destinata a decollare con il supporto del fratello maggiore Finneas O’Connel. Nel 2015 registra il suo primo brano a cui sono seguite collaborazioni, live e tour come supporter. La sua carriera decolla decisamente dopo la pubblicazione del suo primo album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” nel 2019 che le garantirà un successo mondiale, fino ad arrivare alla punta di diamante della sua carriera: “Bad Guy”.
Di cosa parla il nuovo singolo?
“Non siete pronti”, questo è quello che annuncia il fratello della cantante prima della data di uscita del nuovo singolo. Un modo per incuriosirci? Probabilmente si! Un modo per sottolineare la genialità del pezzo? Anche qui, probabilmente si! Un brano che racconta gli ultimi mesi della cantante sulle riviste e sui social, tra body shaming e persone che hanno approfittato del suo nome per pubblicità.
È un brano che denuncia i pericoli della fama delle persone che stanno approfittando del suo nome per apparire sui giornali. È il terzo singolo del 2020 per la cantante che attraverso questo singolo non si è voluta nascondere, mettendo in luce le difficoltà dovute affrontare durante questo anno.
“I think, therefore, I am”: Penso dunque sono. La massima di Cartesio che si ripete costantemente all’interno della canzone. Un invito ad agire con la consapevolezza delle proprie azioni? Anche qui, probabilmente si!
